Dr. Tuan Badrul Hisyam holds PhD of Law from Newcastle University, United Kingdom, Master of Laws (LL.M) majoring in Law of Islamic Banking & Finance from International Islamic University Malaysia and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Shariah and Law from Umm al-Qura University, Makkah al-Mukarramah .

He is also the Chairman of the Shariah Supervision Committee of Alliance Islamic Bank (Malaysia) and a member of the Shariah Supervision Committee of the largest cooperative bank in Malaysia, BKRM and MyEG Services Berhad, a leading online platform connecting the general public to a wide range of government services respectively. In addition, he is a member of the Curriculum Review Committee, the sub-committee of AAOIFI Education Board and the Industry Advisory Panel for the Faculty of Management & Muamalah, the Selangor International Islamic University College, Malaysia. He is a registered Shariah adviser under the Securities Commission Malaysia and the Secretary to the Cluster of Legal and Constitution under Majlis Amal Islami, YADIM (Islamic Da’wah Foundation Malaysia), a government agency under the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia. He had obtained the professional certificate of CSAA by AAOIFI as well as the license for Shariah legal practice which enables him to appear before the Shariah Courts of the Malaysian Federal Territories as a legal counsel.

Ghaith has a Bachelors Degree in English Literature, and is a certified Sharia Advisor & Auditor by AAOIFI, in addition to being certified professional in Compliance, Governance and Risk by CIBAFI & OCEG.

He has been a devout student of Sharia since 2015, learning from the best scholars in the fields of Jurisprudence and finance, and has recently started working on his Bachelors degree in Sharia.

Ghaith has an extensive experience in Islamic banking, and has performed very well in a diversity of functions, including Sharia Compliance, Sharia Audit, Sharia Training, as well as documentation and execution of transactions (i.e. Murabaha, Musharaka, Mudaraba, Istisna’, etc.)

He is also a certified translator by Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation, and his translation experience has included working with the British Council, MBR Foundation and many clients in a variety of field.

Ghaith is also passionate about writing, and is a published writer (literature) with a target audience of children and young adults.

Ms. Aisulu acquired her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from International Islamic University Malaysia with majors in Islamic banking and finance with Honors.
